pSysmon projects

To create a pSysmon project, select the menu File → New project. This will open a dialog window in which you have to enter the following parameters:

name : The name of the project.
base directory : The directory in which the pSysmon project directory is created.
database host: The IP address or URL of the computer on which the database server is running.
username: The name of database user.
user pwd: The password of the database user.
author name: The name of the author of the project.
author URI: The URI of the author of the project.
agency name: The name of the agency of the author.
agnecy URI: The URI of the agency of the author.

An example dialog for creating the project test looks like this:

Confirm your entries by clicking the OK button.

This will create a pSysmon directory structure in the base directory and it will create the project database tables in the specified database using the specified user.

To save a project select the File → Save project menu.

To close a project select the File → Close project menu.

To open a project select the File → Open project menu. This will open a file dialog which you can use to navigate to the pSysmon project file (file ending .ppr) which is located in the project directory of the project you want to load.

Before opening the project you will be prompted to enter the name and the password of the database user. If no password is used, leave the password edit field empty.
